#MCaroundCersaie: drawing conclusions
The figures for the 33rd Cersaie say it loud and clear: the international exhibition of architectural ceramic and bathroom furnishing is still the industry's benchmark at worldwide level.
Between issuing live updates, sharing news and images and interacting with followers, the editorial staff of MaterialiCasa did the full rounds of the trade fair, in search of the trends and latest developments put on display by the industry's leading exponents. In so doing, we consolidated the live reporting model we introduced three years ago and which is now a permanent fixture for large numbers of readers. We were also gratified to see that, as of this year, several of the industry's leading players have adopted the same model. This is a clear sign that the idea represents a fresh, new, effective way of communicating everything that's going on in a dynamic industry, which is full of high-tech content but also embraces the young and more carefree world of design and social media.
The real-time reporting through Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter saw the launch of the official hashtag #MCaroundCersaie, which was reported to be one of the most influential trends on the subject of architecture during the course of the trade fair, and picked up a huge following and lots of positive feedback from the online world.
With 275 pins on a dedicated pinboard, 356 tweets and as many posts, the reportage, which is still available online, shone the spotlight, from hall to hall, on the latest floor and wall coverings, and on events, conferences and the Bologna-based trade fair's Save The Date.
Riding the wave of this entirely digital and social media success, we take this opportunity to start the countdown to the release of version 2.0 of the portal: follow the hashtag #MCcountdown to find out what's cooking...
